4X4 (4wd) Vehicles and Campers
Bushlore specialise in 4x4 vehicles and campers and can boast
one of the larger and more comprehensive 4x4 vehicle fleets in Southern Africa
We choose our vehicles based on the following criteria; reliability, 4x4 off road capabilities,
practicality, ease of use and back up support in Southern Africa. Currently
we are mainly using two vehicle manufacturers, that being Toyota and Land Rover
The following 4x4 models are available from Bushlore for rental; Toyota Hilux Double Cab 4x4
(similar 4x4 occasionally used), Land Rover Defender 110 4x4, Toyota Land Cruiser 4.2D 76 series 4x4,
Toyota Fortuner 4x4, Land Rover Discovery 4x4
All these vehicles are capable and reliable 4x4 vehicles. In addition to a number
of standard features, the Bushlore 4x4 vehicles are fitted with a number of accessories
to provide safe travel to remote destinations. The vehicles are also available as

Toyota Hilux Dc 4x4 Safari Camper
The Toyota Hilux is the most popular and well represented
4x4 vehicle in Africa. A reliable and capable 4x4 vehicle with
a large load bin and excellent storage space. An affordable
and popular option for traveling into Africa and the first
choice of many experianced over - land travelers. The latest
Toyota Hilux now used boasts a far more comfortable rear
seat and very efficient turbo engine.

Land Rover Defender TD5/Puma 110 Safari Camper
The Turbo diesel driven Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 is a
very capable, rugged 4wd all terrain vehicle. Spacious and
practical with good ground clearance and excellent ride
height, the Defender is out most popular Safari and
Camper vehicle. This is partly due to its capabilities and
partly due to its stong association and popularity with an
African Safari.

Toyota Hilux Fortuner 3.0TDI wagon
The Toyota Fortuner is similar to the Hilux and is built around
the same chassis. The major difference is that the Fortuner is
a comfortable station wagon as opposed to the more
practical double cab Hilux with load bin. The vehicle as very
similar specifications and the very similar fuel efficient
D4D engine.
The vehicle makes the ideal vehicle for accessing lodges off
the beaten track but can also be equiped as a camper
capable of accommodating 4 but moer comfortale for 2 or 3.

Land Rover Discovery III
When the Land Rover launched the new Discovery III, we
couldn't resist but include it in the fleet. It can match any
vehicle in its class when it comes to performance, road
handling, economy, safety features and finishes. However
what was attractive to us was the exceptional 4x4
capabilities, the practical load bin and the fact that it can
comfortably accommodate up to 7 adults. The vehicle is not
ideal as a camper but is ideal for long distance travelling
and visitig lodges off the beaten track.
